Ayt. Khamenei calls for transformation in seminaries role

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei made the remarks in a meeting with a number of the members of the Jami’at al-Zahra Women's Seminary Wednesday.

The seminary is for the people, to propagate and advance religion, and to establish religious governance. Given the changing nature of society, the seminary must also be updated to properly fulfill its duties," the leader said.

Ayatollah Khamenei stated that updating textbooks and teaching methods in seminaries and addressing issues needed by society, including monetary and financial issues, governance, family affairs, and new issues such as cryptocurrencies, are among the requirements for transformation in seminaries.

Opposing the transformation of the seminary is opposition to the progress of religion in the country. Of course, those who are entitled to create the transformation must be the ones who do it," the Leader added.
